Assalamualaikum.. well i finnaly decided which story i wanna share. Last month, me and whole classmate held a trip to Bali Island. Bali is the most famoust island in Indonesia, some foreigner even think that Indonesia is inside Bali, lolxx.

Okay, Bali is quite far from our place, it's almost 24 hours away by bus and ship. I dont know bout the flight. But even it takes tooooo looong time away but we are paid by the beautifull and amazing places we visited. And now I would like to share one of places we have visited. Here it is.. Pura Uluwatu or in english known Uluwatu Temple. 

Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one of six temples with the status Sad Kahyangan Jagat trusted by Hindus as a buffer from 9 of wind direction. Uluwatu is derived from word ulu means head or tip, while watu mean stone. Therefore, meaning of  Pura Uluwatu Temple is built on the edge of rock. This temple stands majestically on the southwestern tip of Bali on the bridge of stone cliff jutting into the sea and as high as 97 meters from sea level. Thus, not only sacred and religious atmosphere that can be enjoyed by visitors who want to worship, but the stunning natural scenery that can be enjoyed by visitors who just want to travel.

This temple was originally used to be a place of worship a holy priest named Mpu Kuturan 11th century. He spraded the teachings of Indigenous Village with all the rules. This temple is also used to worship the holy priest that followed, namely Dang Hyang Nirartha, who came to Bali in late 1550 and end the journey with the so-called sacred Moksah / Ngeluhur in this place.
 
Pura Uluwatu has several son temples, which are closely associated with temples main. It is Pura Bajurit, Pura Pererepan, Pura Kulat, Pura Dalem Selonding dan Pura Dalem Pangleburan. Each temple has close links with  Pura Uluwatu, especially in the days of his piodalan. Piodalan at Pura Uluwatu, Pura Bajurit, Pura Pura toadstool Pererepan and fell on Tuesday Kliwon Wuku Medangsia every 210 days. Manifestation of God who was worshiped in the Pura Uluwatu is the god Rudra.
 
Today, Pura Uluwatu Luhur was located between three growing tourist areas namely Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Tuban. This further increase of visitors coming to Luhur Pura Uluwatu. Tourism business was also growing along with increasing the number of visitors. Commodities any tourism business should be utilized as much as possible without losing the sanctity of Pura Uluwatu. So that visitors who come to feel comfortable and satisfied visiting.

Pura Luhur Uluwatu located in the Village area Pecatu, District of South Kuta, Badung regency, Bali province, Indonesia. Approximately 31 km south of Denpasar, the capital of Bali Province. Travelers can use taxi, rental car or a motorcycle and travel agents fatherly towards Uluwatu. If you use the services of travel agents, usually into a single package with other tourist attractions in the area south of Bali such as Nusa Dua Beach, Tanjung Benoa Water Sport, and Turtle Island Marine Park, Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Dreamland Beach and Jimbaran Beach.

Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one temple in Bali with beautiful scenery. The main attraction for tourists is a view of the temple which is spectacular. Located in the northwest, seems like the temple is perched on the tip of a very high rock cliffs and steep, with views of the depth of ocean and hitting waves that produce foam-white froth that is very beautiful. 
In the evening, you can watch Kecak dance which is held around 18:00 until 19:00 pm. Dance that tells the a fragment story of the Ramayana epic, namely abduction of Shinta Dewi by Ravana which is more fascinating with sunset background in the Indian Ocean. Kecak Dance is one of Bali's most popular dances. Kecak dance can be found in several places in Bali, but in Uluwatu is the most interesting to watch.

When you go down a path that goes into Pura Uluwatu, with concrete fence on the cliff side, tourists can enjoy the view to see the rocky hills and a clear expanse of the Indian Ocean. However, tourists should be careful with the naughty Temple monkey guards. Suddenly they will take the property of visitors such as, glasses, hair clips, hats, earrings, and so forth. If the goods already taken, tourists can exchange it by giving the monkey a snack like cucumber slices, nuts, and other small food that can be bought in stalls around the temple. Apes are believed to be a guard the sanctity of Pura Uluwatu.
Before entering the temple, tourists are required to wear a yellow or green or orange scarf for those who wear a skirt or pants below the knee and a purple or blue sarong for those who wears a skirt or pants above the knee(you may see it on the picture below). These are symbolizes of respect for the sanctity of the temple, as well as a binder implies bad intentions against the soul. On the front page there are rental Pura sarongs and scarves to be worn by tourists who want to enter the temple. In addition, tourists can hire a tour guide who will tell the history of existence Luhur Pura Uluwatu.
After entering jabaan pura (temple front page), tourists will be greeted by a temple gate Bentar sayab bird-shaped curve. Entrance gate into the middle jabaan This is one of the archaeological heritage of the 16th century. To reach the innards temple, tourists will pass through the temple in front of main temple that a statue of the temple guards (dwarapala) with Archa of Ganesha. However, to respect the sanctity of the temple, tourists are not allowed to enter the main hall of worship, because only Hindus who would pray is allowed to enter. Inside the main temple there prasada roared the place for moksa of Dang Hyang Nirartha.

If you come using private cars, Pura Uluwatu also provides parking area. In addition, Pura Uluwatu is also fully equipped with public toilets for visitors. If you need a restaurant and lodging, tourists can find hotels and restaurants with various types and menus are available around the Uluwatu Temple.
